Animal Medical Center was established in 1983 at 6201 Amarillo Boulevard West as a full-service veterinary facility with one veterinarian on staff. In 1993, the size of the facility was doubled to add additional boarding and hospital space. In 1998, we again enlarged the facility and also separated the hospital business from the boarding business. RecommendedI took my 103.8# Miko to her first visit and they were exceptionally patient with her. They talked to her through drawing blood for heartworm test and 2 vaccines and her microchip which helped keep her calm. We will definitely be using this vet clinic for her and my other boy dog. Kudos to the Amarillo Medical Center!

I’ve been a client of Animal Medical for 30+ years. Today I saw a vet I haven’t seen previously and I highly recommend her!!! Dr. Briana Kinsey took amazing care of my beloved dog and me, too. Her exam was VERY thorough and she told me everything she was looking for throughout the exam. She, also, was so kind to Georgie and didn’t rush at all. My regular Vet is not open on Mondays, so when i had an emergency on a Monday, they got me in quickly. I had called several other Vets that I was somewhat familiar with and they were the first one who took what I was saying seriously. I walked in with a dog who couldn’t get his breath and they took him immediately. They were excellent at reassuring me and taking care of my little guy. Took my weenie dog for acupuncture and laser therapy. Dr. Parker was so sweet and never made me feel ridiculous. I work right next to them and finally took a leap. Never will regret it

The tech and vet were both extremely caring about my kitty. They were so gentle and understanding. They even comforted me! Also, she was being extremely loud and talkative and they didn't tell me to shut her up or take her outside like another vet did a long time ago. They explained what they could do and the cost. They didn't try to talk me into putting her down, since she is almost 18 years old.
