This is the place to go to if youre looking to waste money! Ive been trying to cancel the contact that Ive been locked into for 3 years now. They told me I have 1 year left and its 500+ that I owe the. Its ridiculous that they wont help you terminate a membership other than accepting Dr. exemptions and if you live 26+ miles away from the nearest AF.I signed this contract during the $1 dollar down promotion without knowing that I was going to be stuck in this situation for 4 years! I was paying for 2 key fobs to access the gym and signed a 1 year contract beginning December 2019 and terminating January 2021. Between the months of November 2020 and January ***** I was contacting the Anytime Fitness Gym Manager at the location the agreement originated. Informing that I would not renew past the agreement end date and inquiring what was necessary in order to cancel. 1 star only because i cant choose 0. My membership is UP. Therefore the contract IS DONE. I call to tell them I was canceling. They proceeded to tell me I needed to pay for another 30 days. They also proceeded to withdraw money from my account. I used my membership 3 times the whole year. Paying 80.00 a month. My husband didn't use his at all. Also paying 80.00 per month. I have been a member for exactly 9 days now, 4 of which I've actually came to the gym to work out. In the short period of time being there I have noticed the lack of care in anything in this gym. The kettle bells have rust all over them, the floors are broken and a safety risk, equipment needs upholstery, weights are missing chunks out of them. Do not get a membership at this place. They raised my fee without notification. And have been doing so for the last 8 months. I canceled my membership three months ago. I am now getting phone calls daily from their collection agency. Corporate does not return phone calls this is an absolute nightmare

On June 15, 2022 I was visiting your facility on a work trip. I was informed at this facility that I could utilize a 3-month agreement as long as I pay the 1st payment + 5 biweekly payments of $31.99($35.19 actual total) thereafter. I was also told there was no need for any written notice since it was only going to last for 3 months. I wanted to join for 3 months until I could apply for silver sneakers, through Medicare. The manager told me to sign up for 3 yrs as the pmt would be less and I could cancel anytime! (I now assume it was because I’d be changing to SS) When the time came open enrollment I found out that because of a cancer diagnosis the previous May, I was stuck with the program I had. This business is corrupt!!! Same issue I am seeing in all these reviews. I tried to cancel my membership as a gym closer opened up. When I joined in October of 2022 the gym manager in Ocala fl gave me a form I signed and stated I could cancel anytime without reason and pay a small fee. When I tried to cancel in Jan 2023 they told me my contract was null in void without even any written document of new rules and I sure didn’t sign anything new.
