Upper Mangement/Owners of ALL sparks nv gyms need to leave and sell! No Acknowledgement getting equiptment fixed, Putting up tvs and more ! I m a dedicated member of this gym for over 25 years disappointing to see how Mngt and owners have neglected both members and staff, as well as not honoring the agreement that states fees will never be raised as long as you remain a member at Anytime Fitness and overpriced! DO NOT JOIN!This is the most shady and deceptive business I have ever dealt with. They allow online signups and then if you try to cancel they say you need to have died or have a new license or utility bill. Even if you never changed your license when you moved to ************ and moved back in with your parents so don't have bills in your name they don't allow you to cancel. Anytime Fitness located in ******** **** *****is a predatory business. A young single mother unwittingly signed up for a membership at Anytime. She later fell pregnant. As a result of this pregnancy she was required to cut back on her hours at work causing her income to drop precipitously. She was also determined to have a high risk pregnancy which is precluding her from exercise. I joined and asked if something came up is there a way to cancel. I was told that if there was a medical issue or I was a transferring military member, then I could cancel. I had stroke and was sent to two hospitals. I spoke with the manager and she said I couldnt cancel. Not a choice Im happy with because the staff is wonderful. I had a neurologist appt Yesterday Nov 4th and was told I was going thru many months of physical therapy. So this is my only outlet. This is my only outlet to get my story out. My son signed up for a month to month. He then found out that it was a year. A year approaches. Now they won't let it be canceled b/c it's not my account. Although it's my cc on file and was only authorized for one payment. I would like the yearly contract voided and credited for all unauthorized charges for misleading and deceptive practices. They are a horrible company, they make up stuff when you want to cancel! They said that I have to give a 30 day notice in order to cancel however I went back to the original contract and it does not say that then they said that theyre not gonna honor my request to cancel so other words are saying that theyre going to continue to charge me every month even though I requested to cancel for two months now and have the proof to back it up. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! You will never be able to cancel your membership. They will continue to charge your credit card even after you cancel your membership and turn in your key fob. If you complain to corporate, they say there is nothing they can do and you have to talk to your local manager. The local manager will do nothing. When you cancel your credit card to stop the charges, they will turn you over to collections and destroy your credit. Hiring a lawyer to fight them will cost a fortune. This is a NIGHTMARE!
