Get directionsMy loved has just moved in. It seems like a nice place. There are outside areas for residents to enjoy. The food seems good. I wasn’t there the day my loved one moved in, but there doesn’t seem to be any concerns with parking.
We stopped in and had dinner at the Brentwood estates(by the way it was very good). we found the staff to be very helpful and freindly but it did not satisfy the care needs we were looking for, it seems there was not too much help for the residents. Although I would have to say from a budget standpoint it was very affordable living.
It was nice, but one thing that is a deal breaker is there is not a full kitchen in the apartment. Mom would have to have the option to cook in her own place.
I have called in to you guys stating they need time to reemployee a staff and get things together. The first week she lived there most quit or were fired. Then they fixed the elevator and would forget meals to those who couldn't do stairs. Was so ready to turn them in. We really felt take advantage of. Now wonder they gave us a break on the deposit.
Asher point independent living in Lincoln Nebraska is a terrible place for anyone to be. My uncle has been there a year or so, and his experience is that the food is substandard, the room the apartment is extremely small, there is limited transportation, there are no activities, the kitchen and serving staff sometimes do not show up to work. My parents lived here over 6 years. At first it was great when it was [community removed]. It has since been bought out twice and has gotten really bad in the last couple of years. Sagora is the current owner. Corporate greed! They overcharged my parents bank account a few months ago when they bought the place. I have made ten calls and been In their office five times as has my Dad. They make promises to get you to go away but they have no intention of returning money they stole from the elderly. I am struggling to accept my Parkinson's diagnosis and what appears to be a rapid progression. I loved that they had speech ot/pt services on site. That slowed the process progression of my pd. The staff of these programs saved my life in the six months I lived there. Beyond that people there I found to be judgmental and unforgiving. I made a couple mistakes my first week that hurt no one. My loved one has been at Brentwood about [dates removed]. I visited 2 weeks ago and was very upset at what was happening. It is NOT as presented to us by staff or online. There is NO transportation and has not had it for many months. There are NO activities. Advertised Wi-Fi is only in area by the office. The common areas are fairly clean they have had a roach issue. There has been a high turnover and some strange stories. There is no extra care that is provided. Our loved one complains about the food the most, typically the meals either don't happen or are so small in portions that its not worth it. They have cancelled all the activities.
