They were great until I was denied for the payment plan. I guess the way they treat you is dependant on your credit status. I was told they would help manage my pain for an exposed nerve. Once I was denied for the payment plan I went to pick up my prescriptions to get me through until I could save up the money to have that tooth removed. I was in the Coeur D Alene Aspen Dental yesterday and waited a total of 2.5+ hours to get a new patient set of xrays and basic exam for a small filling that came out in the back of my mouth (not a complex dental issue, a very simple one). I asked the ladies if they were running short staffed, and they said they were not. This amount of time I sat there and waited was really unacceptable and caused me to miss another engagement. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. They seem to care a lot about the patient. The prices, however, are ridiculous. The quote I got was about $6000 more than another place I went through.
Went in for a “cleaning”, left with nothing more than a sales pitch in a back office like a used car sales office would do, for extra work that the dentist said they’d just “watch” and don’t need worked on. No cleaning was done... so the pitch is, come in for a free exam and X-rays, (when all I set the appointment for was a cleaning and exam) but prepare to pay for things you don’t need. I will be very honest. My husband called Aspen to schedule a cleaning for him, and have a cavity filled for me. I was very impressed with the up- to- date technology they used, and how friendly the staff was. However, after being there for more than two hours, we didn't get anything done that we asked for. All we got was a complete file for the both of us informing us of all the dental work we needed, and a huge amount for the cost. Nice staff but way overpriced quoted me $13,000 without insurance $9,000 with insurance $2,600 for a root canal and they need 60% of it up front. Its $5,000 at another location to get that root canal plus all the other dental work I need done, not 9,000!!
