I went in for tooth pain, my filling was broke to the point I had a hole in my tooth. They fixed the tooth in front of the one that had a hole in it and failed to mention the tooth they fixed needed to be fixed in the first place. The dentist then argued with me and told me I never mentioned the tooth with the hole in it and said its not about what the patient wants its about what the dentists think. I was told I needed a full $350 gingivitis cleaning before they could even do a basic cleaning. It didn't seem right so I got a 2nd opinion. Turns out I did NOT need the gingivitis cleaning at all. Also, I have never had such extreme mouth pain as I had AFTER having fillings at Aspen Dental in Grandville. I went to 2nd opinion because of the pain and he explained there are ways for the dentist to fill a tooth causing minimal pain - but if care is not taken the pain can get extreme.
