First of all wrong spelling of my daughters name, not a negative merely pointing out, our first visit to the practice in Janesville, receptionist was in my opinion too quick in going through forms, on raising a question the responses were rather abbreviated, the staff were very positive in their manner, Dr Hoffman however never even spoke to myself, also his dress was to be desired, white coat not so white, also his shoes have seen better days, it's all about first impressions, simply thought I would point these things out, ... read more
Horrible customer service. They refuse to do a basic cleaning covered by my insurance because they want me to spend almost $1000 on a procedure that I can't afford yet. Now I need to wait 3 years for another full set of X-rays to be covered by my insurance at ROBINSON & PRIJIC DENTAL. ( there very nice, go there instead)
Here is the problem. Aspen Dental raps extras into their service. So if your insurance pays for two cleanings a year at 100%, you will still be handed a bill for (in my case) $426!! Included is a special rinse, not covered by insurance, a VERY nice electric toothbrush, for $130... other things that the person either couldn't or wouldn't tell me line by line. All I wanted was a broken tooth fixed. They wanted to do all these things and told me I need a whole bunch of crowns. Also said I have cavities. I just had my teeth cleaned so I highly doubt that. Charged me thousands of $$. Also charged me for an electric toothbrush and didn't tell me. Not going back.
Aspen dental told us that new patient procedures are to take a panoramic and about 20 X-rays. Then have you brush your teeth with a oral b electronic toothbrush and rate it. Then count how much your gums gone down (if they have). Then the dentist come in looks in your mouth for 10 sec and says you need lots of crowns and cavities filled and have broken teeth.
