I'm a chicken when it comes to dentists. And I was on pins and needles waiting to see the dentist. However, my journey through the x-rays and then on to the dentist and then to the dental assistant (?) I was made at ease. My treatment regiment was clearly explained to me and she indicated she would make me comfortable when she starts my treatment. This practice is new to JC, and has gone through a lot of turn over (only the hygienist was left from my last visit). They warned me that the transitions aren't over yet. But the dentist was very pleasant and quickly fixed the one issue I had left over from my last visit. The only demerit was for interrupting my time with the dentist to ask what he wanted done with another patient.
I may have come on a bad day as people seemed friendly enough, but I must say that I had the worst patient service experience that I have ever had. They are an in-network provider for my dental discount program. I was referred to them and called to schedule an appointment. When I called back the day of the appointment to confirm it and ask a couple of questions, I was told that they are not an in-network provider. Aspen dental is horrible!! The only reason I came in was because my dentist's office was closed. I was told I had periodontal disease. The treatment is over $2,000. The office manager tried to sign me up for the treatment and the payment plan. He was extremely pushy and kept saying things like "we are not here to take your money." Everyone was friendly and helpful. The experience was fine but they are incredibly expensive and obsessed from the word go with the financial aspects. Way too much $ and I don't even have any cavities.
