I have been here for two hours and still here....waiting to see the doctor. This place has state of the art equipment but so far not state of the art stuff employees! In the lobby I could here reception making a follow up phone call to a patient and the patient was on speaker. Everyone in the reception area could here the entire conversation!!!! Terrible! Hard sell in services you don't need... and if you have to call and deal with them on the phone like I had to for my daughter, their attitude is one of crap! We've spent more time with having to go back in to fix what they did wrong, than actually getting cleaned. Worst people to deal with... and when they make a scheduling mistake, they try to blame you if the account shows inactive. Home dentistry would be a better option. Too many horror stories to share. I have been through the ringer with Aspen Dental. While I am satisfied by the result of my procedure with Dr. Appelman, the majority of the staff and their processes have failed in ways I cannot fathom. On my first appointment, I learned that an exam does not include a cleaning and I had to schedule another appointment for that. At my exam, I received X-rays so painful I was brought to tears. This place is 1 hr away from me but came highly recommend because the dentist here do good work. I had my consultation but didn't get any financial detail that day because the person who handles this wasn't there. Mara called me to tell me the price of procedure I jotted it down assuming they would send me a detailed report (that's what I was told) I never received the detailed cost breakdown. STAY FAR AWAY! This is not a dental office, this is A FACTORY. You will be treated by several people in an assembly line. the girls are all nice except front desk that girl doesn't listen and you have to repeat yourself several times. NO APOLOGY. I had an impacted tooth that was very painful and couldn't eat or sleep. Called Aspen Dental in Lawrence KS and was told that they would give me an appointment for 4:30 for workup. After the workup and meeting with the hygienist and do a complete exam then I could talk to them about my impacted tooth and schedule a point sometime in the future. I ask if we could get something done today and she said no since my appointment was so late in the afternoon. Called her another dentist and they got me in sameday.

These people are HORRIBLE. I went in to have major dental work done, I haven't been able to eat solid food in a year. They refuse to give my money back even after my insurance said they have to. They are making it impossible for me to go to another dentist by not giving my new dentist my x rays and records. I can't afford to get my teeth fixed elsewhere without my refund. OKAY so let me get started... First off thank you to the health care workers who are working during this time of crisis BUT you do not need to discredit my son because of his age (20). They did not explain what they were gonna do (he needs teeth pulled bad), they did not take him serious about the amount of pain he was in saying oh you have to wait another week even though you can't work, sleep or eat because of the pain.
