I have been a patient w Aspen for years when I lived in PA. Moved to The Villages and continued. Was told 6 month cleanings are so important. Went today for my 4 th 6 month cleaning only to be told since I wouldn’t let them go a deep Scale cleaning they would not clean my teeth. I do not have dental insurance to the tune of hundreds of dollars! Office manager was very disrespectful and said the cleaning would not be beneficial w/O the scaling!!! To start with...by being honest!! I was told I need a lot of periodontal scaling & root planning. They make it their business to scare the elderly into thinking it's necessary just so they can make as much money as possible. And at checkout when you don't agree to have any work done, the so called friendly staff become rude.
Had me wait for 3 hours and all I had done was xrays. They then made me make a future appointment and pay 60% up front... shady. So I did, when i arrived to my 2nd appointment they proceeded to tell me the price had now gone from $350 to over $900. Leaving me to feel embarrassed and crying no one even offers a tissue... The front desk lady is rude and wants to argure with patients after they been there past there appt. so sad and lack of commucation
Said they take kids 6 and up but the x ray gismo wouldn't fit. sign on door says free exam first visit but a child didn't qualify. Wanted $300 for cleaning, exam, and x-rays for a 7 yr old.. Got them down to $200 because they couldn't do all the x rays. Then recommended a pediatric dentist so now we have to start all over. Maybe I'm out of the loop but it seemed a bit pricy!! They were very kind and patient with the 7yr old..
People barely talk to you. Was taken back to a back and then the gal remembers they wanted ex-rays, so back to the front. Then back to the chair to sit for 30 minutes before the same person came in to clean my teeth. Then had to wait for the dentist to come. All in all, it took over an hour an forty-five minutes to do what my dentist in South Carolina did in less than an hour.
The dental assistants were nice and so where some of the techs. I’m going to be honest, since I work in the retail field I found it very unprofessional to hear a Dr complain about a patient(s) especially another Drs patient(s). I understand older people who come in can be difficult but no one should complain in front of other patients. Also before my procedure I didn’t mind the wait but once he came in, he numbed me but the numbness was going away after 15 minutes till I said something. When you have such a horrible toothache, and your jaw is the size of a golf ball, and their ads say they take emergencies, please don't tell me you can see me in two WEEKS. Just say you don't do emergencies.
Was visiting from out of town and needed a filling replaced. After they took xrays and found out i was from out of town, they couldn't help me. Wanted me to get 6 crowns and a bridge and i only came in for a filling thay fell out. All about the $
