I Really don’t feel comfortable writing this post but here it is. First, the staff in Spartanburg Aspen dental are really friendly and the doctor and hygienist that my husband and I saw were great. But here comes my second part! PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR MAJOR SURPRISE! I was worked in on a Monday due to severe pain in one of my teeth. At first the dentist said he could find nothing wrong. Another dentist came in and said she saw a small fracture. At that point they both agreed the tooth would probably require a crown. When I asked if there were any less expensive options we could discuss, the original dentist ( Who initially could find nothing wrong ) simply re-stated that a crown was needed. I made an appointment for my husband and specifically stated that he was coming in to have a tooth extracted. When we arrived the receptionist and hygienist were very friendly. They preformed X-rays since it had been 2 years since my husband’s last visit. Dentist came in and looked over the X-rays and looked in his mouth. He then told my husband the best thing to do would be have all his teeth pulled and get dentures. Took forever, the prices advertised and the price I was quoted were very different. They seemed to be only interested in getting me to finance procedures that were over $8000. I have checked other dentists and can get the same thing done much less. I won't be back.

I have been waiting on an appointment for over a month, which I understand. Today, the day of my appointment, after being sent not one but two confirmations of time and date throughout the week, the receptionist called me two hours before the appointment and told me that THEY had made a scheduling error that conflicted with their business hours and put me up for another appointment, in another FULL MONTH. So happy with Jackie, my hygienist, since she has been taking care of my dental care. She showed me things that I was doing wrong and now my appointments are easier and my mouth feels much better.

I its always good to know something about previous dental work that you have already have paid for in the past year. These people were talking to me like that was my first time at the dentist and I did not know anything. Do not get fooled by what you see on TV about aspen dental. The dentist will try to talk you into doing previous work that has already been done to do it again to make money off you. Just do not believe everything a dentist or doctor has to say. Do your research and get a second opinion.
