We arrived early and at the recommendation of the hostess, we sat at the bar until our time came. The bartenders were attentive and entertaining. It was nice that they were focused on us and at the same time allowed us to talk amongst ourselves. The dining area had low lighting which added to the night. The understated elegance and edging is the first clue. Attentive wait staff are ther but nor hovering or in your face. Then the food! French influence with modern twists you see nowhere else, this is truly a "night out". Our favorite in a city with a lot of great restaurants. Always feels like a vacation.
My Huzband always makes a special day of my Valentines Birthday, and this year was no exception. Bacchus is absolutely my top dining choice. I love the ambience, the always friendly staff and attention to detail. We both enjoyed the New York Strip which was done to perfection! Our entire meal was a palate's delight. My wife and I had the pleasure of Dining at Bacchus on Valentine's Day. We both ordered off the special holiday menu. We both enjoyed a wonderful crab salad with asparagus and blood orange sauce. The flavors were amazing. The NY strips had a marvelous flavor and were very tender. Typical Bartolotta's quality. Intimate ambiance and Service was fantastic. Great date night destination. Nice options on the menu for everyone. Braised short rib was fantastic. The Scallop's with the pork belly was a decent dish but I found myself wanting any other pairing than the pork belly with my scallops -- A bit of a miss in my opinion. First off, the staff was extremely conscientious and communicated with each other to let our server know (as we just had been seated) that we were celebrating our first Valentine's Day as newlyweds. Secondly, Dan, our server, was also amazing in that he asked what we like, rather than just repeating specials. Plus, he welcomed us to take our time & not rush. Appetizers and dinner were delicious, & the wine selection is amazing. We'll return!
This was my third time dining at Bacchus and every experience has been fantastic. My wife and I have decided to make this our annual Valentine's Day plan.
