Bacchus is great place for a special night out. I had the Comeback Martini before dinner and it was great. Probably more enjoyable in the summertime. Ryane, our waiter was perfection. His timing was perfect and his wine selection/pairing with dinner was spot on. The food and wine pairing was our reason for returning to Bacchus for a special occasion. The pairing which isn't on the menu is an exceptional experience where the chef, sommelier and serving staff show why Bartolotta is set apart from the rest. The venue is beautiful and very special. Bacchus left no room for criticism in our dining experience. The service was top notch, the food was executed beautifully. I had absolutely no complaints. A fantastic experience and one I'd be delighted to repeat again and again.
Bacchus worked for us because after an intense 2 day work sprint in Milwaukee we needed a calm, quiet place to decompress and relax over a great glass of wine and what we hoped would be a memorAble meal. It was great other than the memorable meal part. Great cheese course - no chef necessary - and a very disappointing entree special veal chop. Service, ambience, food were all exceptional. One of the most enjoyable meals ever.
We always enjoy dining at Bacchus, especially for special occasions. The staff are welcoming and very attentive. The food is terrific.
I was there for an author event and our group was seated in the east room on a frigid evening. The temperature in the room was uncomfortably chilly for me, but the service, ambiance and service were all excellent. My only criticism was of the panna cotta which was too firm for my taste. Otherwise, it was an outstanding dining experience in every way. This was my first visit to Bacchus and I would definitely return.
Of all the Bartolotta Restaurants, this is the best one. Personable and attentive service, superb cuisine, and a great wine list are hallmarks of this truly splendid restaurant.
