Never disappointed. Superior service and excellent food. Everyone at Bacchus is focused on our satisfaction.
Our party of 8 experienced exquisitely prepared food, excellent wine selections, and professional wait staff. We were promptly seated at our 8:15 reservation time with the majority of other tables already well into their dinner service. After receiving our drinks and ordering our food it was well over an hour before our meals arrived after the appetizer course with little to no communication between. This well-known, east side eatery is one of the better Bartolotta establishments when it comes to quality and menu creativity. While the ecclectic, trendy decor was at one time a welcome contrast to the stuffy, traditional building interior / it may be time to consider an update to go along with the new NML building. Bacchus is still our favorite restaurant from the amazing service to the amazing food, we have never been disappointed.
We had the opportunity to try the new seasonal menu on this visit. Celebrating a friend's birthday, we started with the garlic potato soup. It was great. We enjoyed our entrees of filet and halibut and appetizers of shrimp and gnocchi. Wonderful flavor combinations. For dessert we shared the chocolate cake. Our service was great and as expected, this restaurant did not disappoint. If you haven't eaten here yet, be sure to put it on your list.
Bacchus never fails to please and the vegetarian menu is a really terrific addition, especially as the dishes on there are top notch chef skills.
Wait staff was warm friendly and attentive. Serving was timed perfectly and we were never rushed between courses. They asked if we had evening plans and were happy to see to it that we were on schedule. Food recommendations were amazing and prepared to perfection. Looking forward ti going back.
Bacchus is our "go to" restaurant for a special occasion.
Starting with the cocktails at the bar - perfectly mixed, just too much ice in my martini. Then, dinner: scallop appetizer, so fresh and tasty, not gritty at all. Highly recommend it. We ordered the porterhouse for 2 which is served in a cast iron skillet as were all the sides -- so flavorful! And done to perfection. Desserts of Baked Alaska and Huckleberry cake with ice cream.
