I ate at Bacchus 2years ago while visiting Milwaukee and wanted to return to see if it was as great as I remembered. It was and more so. Fantastic!
First off, my husband and I only went here because we received a gift certificate and Lake Park was closed this evening for a private event. We are typically not fine diners. We started with the veal ravioli for an app, it was very tasty but the small portion (3 split between 2 people) left me wanting more. They read the comment section when making an Open Table reservation. Told them it was our Anniversary and we wanted a nice quiet table. They not only gave us a nice quiet table but had an Anniversary card waiting for us at the table! Curt our waiter was attentive but not overbearing Would come back again in a heartbeat!
We enjoyed a memorable evening with old friends, special food, and excellent service! We were treated like VIPs!
Excellent experience all around. There for our 10th Anniversary. Toward the end of our meal, Joe Bartolotta started making his rounds and stopped to chat. He asked us what brought us there and I told him that it was our anniversary. A few minutes later the waitress brought out a complimentary dessert. We celebrated our Anniversary here, it was such a great evening. The food was just delicious, wines were wonderful after the waiters reccommendations, and we could not find a single fault. Will be returning for sure.
Bacchus was absolutely amazing. The food from start to finish never disappointed and the staff was wonderful. We made a long evening out of it and spent almost 3 hours there enjoying each others company and the wonderful menu. The food was superbly prepared and the staff did an excellent job of answering our questions and giving us time to enjoy our drinks between each course. They placed a wonderful note wishing us a Happy Anniversary which was a great touch.
The service we recived that evening was amazing. We were out celebrating our anniversary that evening, The bartenders were great. Our waitstaff was excellent. They recomended the bone in ribeye for the special,OMG it was amazing. Dinner was over the top. I cannot stress enough how good the service was and food. Then to top it off they brought out fresh fruit sorbet and champagne for us to celebrate our anniversaery
Halibut was dry and the Lamb tasted good but was very fatty.
