Service was stellar. Food was good. Presentation was terrific. We weren’t fond of the bed of escarole that the polenta was served on.
A post dinner discussion with Paul Barolotta made the entire experience fantastic.
The food at Bacchus is impeccable, as is the ambiance, the friendliness of the staff, and their care for safe distancing. The service was friendly, but not quite as attentive to details that would cue them to make their next move. They weren't short staffed, and waiters weren't swamped. We love Bacchus! Love how far the tables are apart and how intimate it feels. Staff was excellent & friendly.

The flavor was beautiful though so it made up for it.
Why didn’t they just rename it? Food is good. They remodeled and completely changed the menu. Definitely doesn’t deliver on the name “Bacchus” with wine list that’s basically very short list of restaurant only white label. Cocktail list is ABA classics. Bright white garish deco with 90s pop rock blaring is an interesting experience. This would have been fire in 1990s SoHo. It’s basically a throwback to the 90s Applebees Pick 3 menu but fancy and grown up. Fish, ribs, or steak… 😂 My date said “this is a place you bring your ... read more
