Bacchus never disappoints. The food and service was perfect.
The 4 of us ordered the prefix 5 coarse meal, everything was good just not exceptional and for the price we were expecting exceptional.
The tasting samples were amazing, the atmosphere is lovely, and the building is interesting. My only suggestion to the staff would be to briefly go over what's in/on each plate so we could more thoroughly enjoy the chef's work.
The only thing that was a concern what is the limited menu you were very few choices as they have gone to hey combination value for $60 or a combination value for $80 so I certainly missed the iceberg wedge blue cheese salad
Great service and food - atmosphere is a little bland but made up by the service by far!
The food at Bacchus was cooked well, but every dish we received was extremely salty. Nothing we needed to send back but definitely close. The other disappointing aspect of our dinner was the service. We had two waitresses taking care of us and were overlooked throughout the night. Our water glasses were continuously empty and we had to ask two separate time for them to fill them. Haven’t been to the restaurant since the remodel. I was praising the ‘famous Bacchus’ steaks to my out of town guest and made reservations for 8:45p. Was surprised and disappointed when our waiter informed us that the kitchen closed at 9:00p and our menu options were limited (3- or 5-course) meals. The famous steaks were NOT on the menu. Overall, our dining experience was good, the food was delicious, and and our server, Allen was outstanding.
Although good, I expected the quality of the dishes to be much better than what we experienced at this price point. The swordfish was overcooked, and the mussels were sandy. The broth was also over seasoned. The flat iron steak was cooked well and the flavors were good, not great. There are better restaurants in the city doing much more creative things with their dishes than what is on offer at Bacchus. Before overspending at Bacchus, try Odd Duck.
Wonderful weekday dinner such a treat to share a meal with out of town friends
