Lovely restaurant, good service but the food was not as good. We had both pies and were expecting something impressive from the menu write up but they were small pastry topped dishes, not a pie. Dessert was nice.
We booked for early Sunday dinner as a family. As soon as we arrived we were told there were 4 beef roasts and asked if we would like to reserve them straight away which we did. The food was delicious. We tried a couple of cocktails and these were also very good. It was a great setting for dinner and our server was fantastic.
Great location, lovely decor and helpful staff. Food nice but didnt blow us away.
We have been to badger &co a few times because my husband loves the generous portions, tonight however was a different story, l had the roast of the day and could not fault it , beef was really lovely , my husband had the steak and haggis pie, the pie was considerably smaller than previous , there was a tiny amount of vegetables too , he was very disappointed , couldn’t fault the quality but quality was pretty poor, it’s such a shame because we love this restaurant and the staff are always very nice , maybe consider going ba... read more
Lovely place with a quirky but comforting theme. The service is outstanding and the food matches. We both had their savory pies and the choice couldn't have been better. Keep up the good work, and if we find our way back to Edinburgh we will definitely come back here.
Decor, ambiance and service were good, but let down by the food. Roast was extremely fatty, huge volume of fat probably equivalent of the meat. Pie was pretty small and bland, chips were lukewarm. The place is lovely inside and service was good.
We came for lunch, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Oh, and the cocktails were great! Lovely atmosphere too. Definitely be mindful of the easy, laidback vibe, so you don’t expect a super quick meal. We misunderstood the whole “starters vs mains” approach and had to wait for one of our attendees to finish their soup before the rest of us got their meals. :) But again, this is totally worth a visit!!!
