Manager who served us was lovely. Waitress didn’t smile and was a little curt. Lovely food and wine. Pretty surroundings

Great wee place with a fantastic atmosphere.quite a hidden gem. Staff were attentive. The food was amazing. Especially the homemade steak and haggis pie. Cocktails were ace, and the price was what you would expect for Edinburgh City Centre. But the price was on the more affordable Edinburgh side when it came to price and value for money! 2 mains, 3 cocktails and a bottled drink for under 3 figures. Would certainly go back.

My cousin and I decided to catch up over lunch here. She’d eaten here before and said the food was lovely. It didn’t disappoint, and the cocktails, house red and coffee were all excellent too. Not only was everything delicious, but the restaurant is a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours. We had a lovely table for two in the window with elegant and very comfy armchairs and it just felt so special. We’d definitely go back.

Lovely meal. Wasn’t that clear the field burger was veggie -maybe me being stupid but being under bacon and cheese one I assumed was a plain version. Could be clearer Disappointed to not get egg card discount advertised on egg website for 20% off food and drink as was sole reason we booked. Kind server gave us the march deal of 20% off food but obvs not as good as the discount on drink too. Maybe a bit too attentive as felt a bit harassed at times. Ambiance is lovely and is a great venue Make a fab negroni!
