We were pleasantly surprised with the lovely decor. Very comfortable. Food was really good for value. We all had pie. The steak and haggis and the chicken pie was wonderful. Mash, very creamy. Tasty veg side. Wish it was all on a plate as opposed to ind dishes on a board. Great service and polite, smiling staff woth a good sense of humour. Would definitely return.
Badger was close to the main tourist areas of old town Edinburgh, yet it felt like a local spot. The atmosphere was great and super cute. The comfort food was perfect after a long day walking around town. I had fried chicken, a famous steak, and a haggis pie with fries. So good! Plus, there is local beer on tap. I highly recommend it for a family casual night out.
We stumbled upon this place and I am so glad that we did. The service was great, the food was yummy, and all of the Wind in the Willows nods were so cute and well done.

My friends and I had a lovely time when we went out for drinks on Saturday. Staff were friendly and very attentive with our drinks order. Every time I book here with friends or family the staff are amazing!
Great waitress seated us and soon took our order. Fish and chips were really good— crisp and tasty as they add boiled be. Mushy peas were also great as were the chips. We look forward to another meal here soon!
First visit. Group of 5 of us for lunch on Friday 21 June 2024. We all agreed that the food was excellent as was the service. Good prices for Central Edinburgh. Highly recommended.
Lovely themed restaurant, there were a variety of cocktails and they were great!
