Had a nice meal in very pleasant surroundings. The service was excellent and to be applauded . Would definitely visit and use again

Went on a freezing cold January lunchtime. The restaurant was lovely and warm so was the atmosphere and the staff were friendly and welcoming, The food was incredible everything was homemade and perfectly cooked. We had both pies, Steak & haggis and the Chicken and mushroom and both were delicious. The desserts were just as delicious and all homemade. The staff were lovely, friendly and professional throughout and the toilets were immaculate. I can’t wait for my next visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We were welcomed warmly and seated right away. The chicken and mushroom pie was truly delicious. The pastry was buttery and the filling well seasoned. One of our party had the ox cheeks and raved about it. The Christmas pudding and brandy sauce really put a nice coda on the evening. A great place to eat in Edinburgh. We came up for a few nights and this restaurant was one of our highlights. The food is exceptional and the ambience is relaxed. I felt like I was eating at a friend/ family house. Would recommend to everyone.

Booked for a group of 8, very easy to book and organise online. Excellent ambience to the venue on arrival, very friendly staff and the design of the interior was immaculate. Sat down and was able to converse with one another, with no background noise. We all got the Sunday roast and this was delightful, fantastic portion sizes and great serving speed. Would highly recommend and definitely will be coming along again!

Booked well in advance, based on the excellent reviews I had read. We weren’t disappointed! Highly recommend the steak and haggis pie, especially. Loved the furnishings and ambience.
