STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM HERE. I feel that is all I need to say. The entire time I was scared of being jumped by the other patients. Extreme racial tension, and it messed me up way more than I was before. The doctor who saw when my parents agreed to send me at the hospital indirectly said "sorry kid, and good luck" before I left.

If I can give zero ratings, I would. A family member of mine was recently admitted to Belmont. The few days he was there, it was pure misery. The staff are not culturally sensitive or empathetic at all to him nor to other patients in the unit. Here are some key reasons why everyone need to STAY AWAY from Belmont: - He experienced prejudice and racism from the other patients in the unit. And he felt neglected when he did not feel supported by the staff, thus he DID NOT feel safe at all. Naturally, he wanted to leave AMA afte... read more

If you are reading reviews hoping for a kind word online about this place you will not find one here and you will be hard pressed to find one anywhere. If you care about your loved one, tell the doctor's no when they suggest this place for placement. My daughter complained of being scared due to constant fights and rude and uncaring staff. I was able to witness this first hand when I went in to meet with the counselor to discuss my daughter's treatment, while being escorted to the unit we witnessed a fight break out. An olde... read more

AVOID getting TMS here. The technician who administers the procedure is rude, inordinately hyper sensitive, becomes defensive easily, and is condescending. Upper management should know her demeanor and that she really needs to have an understanding of better customer service policies...

I'm a teacher, and I visited a student here who complained of being mocked by staff. A formal complaint was made, which I wrote up and presented, and the manager was informed, yet the student reported no follow up and was in fact further mocked during a bout of anxiety by said staff. This kind of behavior shows me this is NOT the kind of place a child in need should be sent, and it should in my view be avoided if possible. These kids are already vulnerable and do NOT need to be re-victimized by those supposedly in charge of ... read more

No real help for every 24 hours you have 90 minutes of help which are group session. It feels like a prison! The dirtiest health care building I have ever experienced including mice! No joke! If you are mentally ill this is not the place for you it will only make you condition worsen I do not recommend this place to anyone

I was here for outpatient treatment for a few months. Misdiagnosed me and brushed off my concerns several times. Put me on psych meds that made me lose 10 lbs and all human emotions / the will to live. Then they decided to transfer me to the inpatient facility. Worst experience of my life and it haunts me daily. They don't tell you how anything works, and I was dealing with clinical depression and anxiety & paranoia, so I was too nervous to ask questions or even leave my room for a meal. They don't care if you eat or not. ... read more

A pregnant family member was admitted to Belmont due to uncontrollable panic attacks. They put her in a psych unit with men. When they realized that this was not safe (she was frightened), they moved her to a women's unit. Apparently another patient threatened other women for control of the TV, & our family member stated that the other patients were too scared to tell staff. Our family member was also a target for this bully bc the other patient had lost a baby a year before, & she was upset by our family member's pregnancy.... read more

Belmont has waxed and waned over the years in it's reputation among treatment providers. I'm in the field as a local addiction therapist who is in recovery myself from addiction and I used to attend AA meetings here 20 years ago. Going inpatient at Belmont is ok to obtain an immediate safe place to get clean but you get little individual addiction treatment and the groups are often chaotic because people there have such diverse and acute needs it can be scary. It's safe but it doesn't feel like a compassionate experience. Th... read more
