We started using Bluebird care for my mum four years ago and she sadly passed away. Since then my dad had daily carers who built up strong relationships with him. Bluebird always tried to maintain as much consistency as they could for my dad. They were also able to step up his care as he deteriorated. Finally, my dad came home to die and needed 24-hour care which the team at Bluebird managed seamlessly such that we were totally sure he was in good hands. Since Bluebird Care have taken over my grandmother's care, her general health and well-being have greatly improved physically and mentally. This has also impacted on us, the rest of the family, in a massively positive way. They go above and beyond what I knew Carers were allowed to do, always friendly and helpful and the communication is outstanding. They really know my grandmother as an individual. Since day one, Bluebird have demonstrated their dedication and care for the client in every way which is so reassuring for the client and the family. There exists a really friendly atmosphere in their office, which is very efficiently well run and supervised. The carers, who are also keenly supervised, are lovely people who have a genuine wish to please.
The ladies who do my mum's personal care are great, they understand how important it is caring for Mum, they give her the time and are always talking to her making a connection making her feel comfortable.
What can I say about Bluebird carers, I have nothing but very very high praise for them. Every carer I have met who has attended my Mum have shown patience, treat my Mum as they would their own Mum, with dignity and make her as comfortable as they possibly can. During the current lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when her three siblings have been unable to visit at all, my sister has been extremely well cared for by Bluebird staff. The care has been proactively managed. Due to her progressive dementia necessitating contact with the GP, 24hrs in hospital, coping with incontinence and medication refusal, let alone queuing for shopping and medical supplies and even the care of her much-loved cat (including the monthly flea treatment!).
