VERY strange place. A couple examples - 1) We left our two dogs at the boarding facility (NOT the vet) only to be called by Dr. B while on vacation that they both had broken back teeth. A man i had never met went on for about 15 min about how important it was that we deal with it ASAP. Ok...but also, were my seemingly healthy dogs being given oral exams in the first place? I highly recommend NOT going to Borash Veterinary Clinic. 2 weeks ago I took my cat for a routine checkup and rabies shot. I did not want her teeth cleaned. I was stern about that. She also had a cyst/wart that I pointed out but was not too concerned about it. Well, he declared that it was a tumor and if I had her teeth cleaned he could remove the tumor. I recently got my first Bernese puppy and due to my location of being in Peabody, I decided to take him to Borash Vet Clinic. I'm new to this whole owning a puppy thing and want to feel educated and informed when I take my berner to the vet. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience! Only getting two stars (instead of one) because of the great care my Dr Southgate. However while I used to like Dr Borash I find him completely unprofessional. He's incredibly grabby and has poor boundaries with people and always made me very uncomfortable. Once while I was about to back out of my parking space he ran up to the car without me seeing him and yanked open the door to ask me something. stay away from this office!!! dr. borash performed a simple neutering on my sisters dog and proceeded to cut his urethra !!!! now the dog is in a permanent catheter !!! i created this yelp account just to inform everyone of the horrifice results of dr. borash's lack of care and professionalism. i grew up in peabody and took my first animal to dr. borash and after experiencing his lack of care for the animals first hand i never returned to the office again, and for good reason! dr. borash should retire and not be allowed ... read more

Borash needs to retire. This place is as old as dirt. They have been around for many years and have really angered a lot of people. The staff is apathetic, lazy and uncaring. They will heavily screen you if you call and almost push you to choose another vet if they feel you care too much about your pet. This is because this type of clinic is a really low quality suburban vet who prefers people who come once a year for shots a check up and put it on a charge card.
