Dr Richards repaired my ruptured bicep tendon last year and it’s better than ever. This year I ruptured one of the upper bicep tendons in the opposite arm. No surgery this time after Dr Richards thoroughly explained the pros and cons. Dr. Richards takes the time to listen and explain so that I could make an informed decision about the surgical procedure.
Dr. Richards went out of his way to accommodate my husband last minute and we really appreciated that. He was kind and thorough and got my husband the care he needed quickly.
VERY HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME OF MY CORPAL TUNNEL SURGERY! HEAL TIME WAS SHORT, MINOR PAIN, NO SCAR! VERY PLEASED WITH DR. BRETT RICHARDS SKILLS!!
Dr. Richards diagnosed and performed Distal Bicep Tendon Reconstruction on me. I was able to schedule the appointment quickly, the diagnosis was quick and accurate, his staff was able to schedule the MRI and surgery quickly. I am 2 weeks post op, and as near as I can tell the surgery was perfect with no complications.
Dr Richards is awesome. He is so knowledgeable and intelligent. Because of his training and speciality in hands and upper extremities, I would feel completely comfortable sending any of my family to him for their care. He knows the ins and outs of the hand and upper extremities and spends time with his patients. He answered all of my questions before and after surgery. I cannot say enough good about him and his staff. They really take great care of their patients! Thank you!
Dr. Richards performed carpal tunnel surgery on both of my wife's wrists and the results have been great. She feels so much better and is glad to have had the surgeries done by someone who really did a great job. Dr. Richards isn't the friendliest physician, but he isn't rude or mean at all. I think he just has a reserved personality, but that is easily forgiven by the great results he produces.
Well my primary care physician wrote me a script for oxycodone 3 a day times 10 days, but I still was in very severe pain and and I asked if I could take 2 at a time because I hadn’t been sleeping the pain was so bad and they wrote me a script for TRAMADAL which all that does is give you a headache! And didn’t help at all! I guess we’re just supposed to be in this severe pain let alone how hard it is doing everything with your L hand!
Dr. Richards was arrogant, dismissive, and constantly interrupted me when I tried to explain my pain to him. I was in intense pain when I saw him and was hesitant about him doing much pushing and prodding on my hand just because it hurt so badly, I cooperated the best I could. Then I see online in my notes that he said I was guarded, distrustful and standoffish. Not very professional!!
I have had three surgeries with Dr. Richards. Two of them successful. The third one was an unnecessary surgery. It did not work and I was on a conveyor belt of surgeries that day.. He does not care about his patience. He only cares about his trips out of the country now. He was not there for any of my follow up appointments. The surgery was unsuccessful and when I talked to the administration about it. They blamed me. for not listening. Even though I spent most of my time with his nurses. That didn't even know how to take st... read more
