Food was exceptional as always, but our server disappeared after taking the order. Did not come back again until, with much difficulty, we finally waved to him to give us our check. Could not order dessert as it was getting late and we had an 8 o’clock Broadway show to attend. We were close to the door and at one point it got too warm for comfort.
Good food (huge portions!), efficient and friendly service in an NYC classic. I chose the Brooklyn Diner specifically because my guests were first-time U.S. visitors from the UK, and I wanted them to experience something traditionally American. We all loved it!

Have been here twice now and have loved it both times. A breakfast that sets you up for the whole day. Very friendly service and getting a table takes no time at all. Thoroughly recommend!!!
The hostess was genuine and friendly and made sure we had fresh water to take back out into the heat after our meal. Just such an additional kindness! Waiter was also very friendly and helpful with the menu. Wait time was excellent. We had a break between play halves nearby and the diner was perfect for our break. The atmosphere, food, and service were all excellent. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was personable, professional, and efficient. The chicken pot pie was the best I ever had. This is THE place to eat in Times Square.
We enjoyed eating at the Brooklyn Diner, it was right in the heart of the Theater District. Waiter was friendly, courteous and helpful.
