Love this plac. I can never decide hat to order. Chicken pot pie absolutely best in class.
Lunch with a friend.
Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Special requests were accommodated
The matzoh ball soup may be the best in New York. And the chicken pot pie is also amazing. But the ambience of the 43rd Street location is lacking. (The 57th Street location has more charm.) The booths along the back wall are isolated -- try finding a waiter -- and so deep that the servers have to keep asking people at the table to pass things. We ate at the Brooklyn Diner pre-theater. The restaurant is comfortable and very upscale for a "diner". The comfort food is well-prepared and in generous portions. Service was a little slow at times because the waiters cover a lot of tables and do everything. This restaurant is a lot quieter than many others in Times Square, but it is also a bit pricier.
Great place with great food. Never felt rushed and the aervice was friendly and prompt. Loved it!
Our waiter was awesome! Food was terrific!!
Went for breakfast at 11am. Last meal in the city before heading home on Saturday. Had a booth off the kitchen which was perfect. While you can easily share the pancakes or French toast, we did not! Side orders of bacon could’ve easily shared one side. Coffee was great. Fresh squeezed OJ delicious. Server was professional and friendly, exactly what you want. Terrific breakfast held us until the next meal - 7 hours later! We’ve eaten at BD at both locations, and both are worth returning to. Until next time...
In a busy area it wasn't hard to get a seat for our party of 5. No wait! Great breakfast. It was perfect to start our day.
