We weren't thrilled. Yes, the pot pie was good, not fantastic. Other things we had were a disappointing, not bad just not as good as other diner's in the city. Probably wouldn't go back.
While the food was good, it was VERY expensive for what you got -- over $8 for a beer, $10 for a sundae, $12 for an appetizer size caesar salad. We will not be going back.
the one on 57 & 7 is an institution. This ones does not have the same feel and I think the food is also not as good, but for breakfast place it is probably one of the better ones around times square

I would not recommend this restaurant. It's a diner serving diner food but the prices would have you think you're in a 5-star restaurant. After we were seated we watched waiter after waiter walking past but no one stopped to give us menus. After several minutes of people ignoring us we finally got menus. Their website shows they serve brunch but when we looked at the menu it was a lunch menu (it was 12:00 on a Sunday)which stated "breakfast served until 11:30". I was extremely disappointed. The reason that we went to the Brooklyn diner was for brunch type food. Their website said that they served brunch until 3:00 which was not the case. As we were pressed for time, we didn't leave to go find brunch somewhere else. They need to update their website. Although what we ordered was good, it was not what I wanted at all!
I brought my fussy eater son thinking that it would have good "kid food" choices for him. He had an $18.50 hot dog that was too "different" and he didn't eat anything except a plate of french fries.
Overpriced and not that good.
