So glad I returned to Brooklyn Diner, post-pandemic! They streamlined their menu, and that was the best burger I have had in forever!! Terrific pre-show meal. Brooklyn Diner happily remains on my go-to list for Times Square.
Very nice staff. Could have put more veggies and pita on the hummus plate. Generous portion of hummus and very good.
It's convenient if you're going to a show in midtown. The food arrives quickly which is critical if you have to dine and dash in time for an event. Unlike most diner's however, the selection of food is rather limited. I believe this is strategic and tied to the concept of moving people in and out quickly- too many custom orders might cause delays in the kitchen. The food we ordered was very good. My wife and I had high hopes for Brooklyn Diner, a basement level bistro. We went for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place is wheelchair/scooter accessible, but you had to enter from the office building next door and through a service entrance to get in. Once inside, we passed by an ornate bar en route to our table. My wife ordered the Nova Salmon, eggs, and onions, but the diner was out of lox (what self-respecting New York breakfast diner runs out of lox?), so she settled for an omelette. Atmosphere is pretty good, and the food is ok, but the selection is a bit limited for a diner.
The Brooklyn diner is a wonderful place to have lunch before going to the theater the food is excellent
