Atmosphere is pretty good, and the food is ok, but the selection is a bit limited for a diner.
The Brooklyn diner is a wonderful place to have lunch before going to the theater the food is excellent
My friend and I were in NY for the day and looked for a place to eat near the Lyric Theater before our trip. Brooklyn Diner was convenient and delicious! Every staff member we encountered was very nice, friendly and helpful!

Bon restaurant, ça ne fait aucun doute, service impeccable, décoration typique, plats eux aussi typiques et très savoureux. Maintenant ce qui pique un peu c’est la note… mais c’est NY, à deux pas de Times square…

We needed a place to eat before going to see a show. The Brooklyn Diner was a perfect choice for us. The food and service were both excellent, and the location was a few blocks away from the theater. We had plenty of time and we were not rushed, so it was a great choice for us.
My veggie burger literally collapsed when I picked it up, had to eat it with a knife and fork and scoop up bites. It was tasty, however. I chose to substitute salad for the French fries, and that was a mistake, the salad was "bland" and uninteresting. Waitress was very attentive, however, and it was a great location for before theatre dining.
