I was hired as an employee of CA in Columbia as an assistant property manager. I worked there for one month before one day, someone randomly walked into my office and told me the property was being taken over by another company the next day, but they wanted to keep me on. After reading about the new company I didn't want to do that and decided I would rather stay with CA, since I was now familiar with their policies and I liked the company. I applied for other open management and leasing positions they had at other properti... read more
Business response:
Julie, we are disappointed that your experience as an employee has been anything less than excellent with us. We care for our employees deeply and will go above and beyond to ensure that they are satisfied, while accomplishing goals that have been set. Due to the property that you were working for being taken over, CA did not have the ability to keep you on as an employee; furthermore, there was an option to stay on with the new company at the same location. We apologize that the opportunity did not go as expected, but we do... read more
My friend was given wrong information about the application process which somehow got him to sign a lease according to them. He was told to do the application process online since it was the last day for the fee to waived( which turned out not to be true since we have phone calls that show it is still being waived) . Also he was told it was a two step process, and he wasn't even done with the first process and they said he signed a "lease". He filled out the application online with intent of it just being an application and ... read more
The Lyfe at Missouri is owned by Campus Advantage. They are absolutely awful. I have tried contacting them for over a month and I can get a response maybe every two weeks. The manager tells me she will follow up with me the next day and after multiple emails, still nothing. Their phone system doesn’t connect you to a person and doesn’t work. I can’t get any help from anyone!!! They let homeless people swim in the pool and their employees would smoke weed on the premises. Whatever you do stay clear of this place! There are ma... read more
Business response:
Katelyn, we are very sorry to hear you have had this experience. Your message has been escalated to corporate team member overseeing the Lyfe. The phone system issue is also being routed to the appropriate person. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We'll be in touch. Our goal is to quickly resolve this for you and give you a great experience moving forward.
I would like for someone to contact us. Our daughter spent the night with a resident last night and her car was towed because she was not in a visitors spot... 160 dollars and the towing company said and I quote "that's why they (Campus Advantage) do it during the summer to teach them a lesson" what about the other seasons, are we practicing selective towing or just taking advantage of Students. I'm sure this is not part of the core values of your company. The gate was open and broken according to the staff at 21 Oaks. I und... read more
Business response:
We are sorry for any miscommunication with our contracted towing company regarding our role in your daughter’s situation. For background, our parking and towing policy is designed to ensure that our residents are assured of parking, and onsite signage communicates this policy to both residents and guests. Your daughter was a guest of a resident and parked in a space marked for residents only, and was therefore towed. We contract a towing company to enforce our policy, and all towing fees are paid to our vendor, not to the pr... read more
Campus Advantage recently bought the apartment building I was going to move into - the only place that allowed one semester leases in the area. Now all students who graduate in December/ students who only need one semester are screwed. Way to go. Thanks for taking away the one place me (and a bunch of other fall graduates) could count on living our final semester. Guess I'm going to be homeless.
