My friend was at Cardinal Hill recently, and she was DROPPED by a CNA, who then denied that it had even happened. Then, when my friend was supposed to go to another facility, Cardinal Hill reported that she had "refused chemo therapy" which made the other place not accept my friend. (NOTE: My friend does NOT have cancer; nor was she ever on chemo.) I do not know how this kind of mix-up happens... but It is clear to me that Cardinal Hill is a mess. I use to work at Cardinal Hill for almost 13 years and I was able to see change take place so fast that it would keep your head spinning. The worst change that ever happened to Cardinal Hill was being bought out by HealthSouth/Encompass with this brought a decline in the quality of care due to the emphasis no longer being about the patient and their goals but about the revenue. At this time we lost most of our therapists that were experienced and had grown with Cardinal Hill. When I was hired it was viewed as a preveliage... read more
