RecommendedI haven't been to the dentist in decades because of dentophobia (yes, that's a real thing) but my mouth has been okay thanks to good dental hygiene. With that said, recently one of my teeth that had gotten a filling as a teenager cracked--I'm told that's not uncommon. There was no pain but I was in fear that the whole tooth would fall out of my head or, at the very least, that silver filling would detach and wind up in my belly.
