UPDATE: Checked out two Cavender's in one day and this one had great customer service. Also, a larger selection than the other one. 10/10 for this Cavender's. UPDATE: Cavender's has women's, men's, and kids clothing. Hats galore and boots galore. Even a boot work collection. Everyone's really nice and ready to help. Had a great experience in here thanks to Lilly for showing us the pros and cons of boots. Very satisfied with our purchases. Enormous selection of all things texan and country wear. Could have spent much longer looking around.
My wife went to return some boots we bought for our daughter that were too big. She found the same pair of boots that appeared to be used, leather on the tube was cracked and the heel worn down. They were definitely worn. When she brought the boots to the counter and informed the young lady working the counter she gave the deer in the headlights look. I went into Cavenders to browse boots. No greeting. No offer to help. I was watched the entire time by staff, especially the older white men working the floor. No service, just surveillance. So here is how you handle it: dont let them just sit around watching you. Make them work. Ask for your size. Ask for water. Ask for a chair. Hell, ask for a foot massage.
