Went there for a special occasion, my Dad's retirement dinner. The wait staff was excellent. We had 4 children in the group and they were great with them. The waiter arranged for a complimentary dessert for my Dad to recognize the retirement and gave the kids ice cream. It was a wonderful experience and the food was excellent as it always is. Without a doubt the best restaurant in San Antonio
Great food and service. In a separate room so noise level was not an issue. Price for dinner (drinks @ the bar) was a bit too steep for regular visits. Overall, will return and recommend for special occasions.

Customer service was great but the food was a little on the salty side. Overall pretty good just be prepared to spend some cash.
We had a really great dinner with friends at Chama Gaucha. The salad bar was exceptional, as always. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Then came the main course. All of the meat - I think we had six or seven different kinds between us - was very good, but the ribeye stood out. It was super flavorful and so tender it just fell apart in your mouth. The food and the service were great! The salad bar is incredible. The lamb was so tender, but all the beef was very good as well.
