This place is an absolute joke. I was putting weights away while another member was standing near the rack the member called me a "jackass." We then got into a verbal altercation while the staff member whom was his friends just sat there. Completely unprofessional, hostile, and unacceptable behavior but he was a staff members friend. Tried the trial membership. Not a very friendly staff. Actually one rude "manager"? Snarky comments. Dismissive attitude. Not very interested in answering simple questions about membership, other locations etc. obviously not interested in signing me up. Message received.

I have been going to Bailey's since 1998 when I left the US Navy. It was a great choice with multiple locations and was built for Locals. Now Chuze is a different story. The lack of customer care at the corporate location and only having 1 person to talk to after my account was "cancelled" due to being returned by the credit card company. They made me pay for an extra month because they want a months notice before I cancel my membership. I won't even be here at the start of the month that I am paying for. This does not make any sense. Don't sign with them!
The contracts is a lie don't sign with them. U have to pay for a extra month after you cancel with them. Their equipment is old and always broken and the music they play is trash. Do yourself a favor and go to crunch.
Avoid this place. The positive reviews are from people who seem to have only been there for a short time... As a long timer, I'll tell you this... The manager is a charmer, but will lie to your face. Equipment is broken for MONTHS or replaced with used equipment from other gyms (and sometimes less functional). I don't even know how, after a month of of the lockdowns, equipment was still broken. They shut down sporadically during COVID, stopped charging me...then sent the remainder of my contract to collections, which affects your credit. They could have just called me and left a voicemail, or sent an email. When I tried to go at some point in 2020 finally (a risk I know), I wasn't even allowed in. This is bad business, they could have had a customer for life but now I'll not do business with them on sheer principal. Note - anonymous account for privacy purposes. I lived in Jacksonville, FL during this time.
*Important cancellation info: In your contract it will state that you can cancel your membership if you move outside of 25 mi, which I had done. What they don't tell you is that they will charge you $50 to cancel. Essentially a two month membership fee just to cancel...? How does that make any sense lol - price gougers. The equipment is old and the place smells terrible 24/7 btw
