My husband and I signed up for this gym about 1.5yrs ago.. Kinda a slimey contract. Make sure you take it home and review it before signing. Most gyms now don't do the contract thing...infact- I cant think of any other gym who still does it the way Bailey's does except Anytime Fitness.. I signed up mainly for the classes. The classes were very very bad. For some reason Gainesville has a shortage of personal trainers. From my experiences Gainesvillle, all gyms have issues finding personal trainers for their classes. I went t... read more

This gym has an extraordinary aggressive type of business that doesn't allow you to quite your membership unless you pay some to quite. Very disappointed.

The gym has gone downhill, along with the service since Valerie left. Its devolved into a scam to siphon money from its members

Pretty decent gym, except for being duped into signing up before a quarter of the gym was portioned off for a "premium membership". Now they want me to pay double to get access to the gym I signed up for, or accept half the value. I'd give a 1 star but that wouldn't be fair. It's honestly not a bad gym at all, just not a fan of the shady contract bait and switch. More than happy to change my review if this issue is addressed.

The corporate office is filled with boarder-line thieves. I should have listened to the other reviews. I moved out of town and Baileys charged me the following to stop my membership: $50 calculation fee (I expected this one) monthly charge for the month in which I cancelled, monthly charge for the next month, $40 "annual improvement fee". Even though I called and canceled my membership before the end of the month, they waited to receive a written request (which required 3 forms of proof of address change) in the mail and pro... read more

Pathetic. I joined several months ago but hadn't worked out there much because of an injury. I went back this week and saw that they have a the large area with the heavy bags closed off. The sign says it is for those with a "premium membership" only. The premium membership is an additional $15 per month. What a scam. They used to call this "bait and switch" back in the day. It used to be illegal to sell one thing and deliver another. I guess it's legal now because their contract says they can change the availability of cl... read more

This gym is older and it shows Big Time! Its Over-crowded and Unclean. Abbreviated weekend hours (closes at 4PM- ridiculous!) Much of the equipment is old and badly maintained. The business model is Spend as little as possible on overhead and recruit as many unsuspecting customers as possible. Its a DUMP..........

I am a long time member at the Monument location in Jacksonville and was excited to hear there was a location in Gainesville for me to utilize during my visit. This location is lacking the attention and gym etiquette like my home gym. Machines and free weights are old and not maintained. Several are wobbly and bent. The weights are all over the place and unorganized. Muscle heads slamming weights and not putting them back. This gym has a very bad stench of muscle head musk and no cool air circulation. Compared to many locati... read more

**RIP-OFF** I made the MISTAKE of leaving Planet Fitness in Gainesville Fl and going to Baileys. At the time I was potentially moving to St. Pete and advised the staff before I signed up. They assured me that it was not an issue and I would only have to pay a $50 relocation fee to cancel. This was in June. Mid July I was offered a job in St. Pete and went into Baileys to inform them on August 3rd which is one month prior to my move of September 3rd. The girl at the desk would not take my notice and kept telling me if I turne... read more
