Once again I had to use Corewell Urgent Care in Shelby Township. The service there was excellent. Tammy Check NP listened to my concerns, thoroughly checked me over and ran some tests. She explained everything to me and called in a prescription to my pharmacy. I left there feeling like my concerns were addressed and should be feeling better soon. I was able to make an appointment online, but chose to get there prior to opening to get on line first. I was SO grateful they were open Christmas day for a few hours, even though I felt so guilty they had to work! Everyone was lovely and kind, especially the nurse who took care of me. Joshua was legit. Funny, personable and real - plus he listened to me when l expressed preferences to check for the flu and vid, in addition to strep. I had made an appointment for the second opening of the day, arrived 15 minutes early for check-in and ended up waiting 45 minutes while others went ahead of me. I felt betrayed because I was under the impression that when you had an appointment at a certain time and you were there you would be taken at that time. I was seen by James Wood. It was not on your list of assisted buys. He did an excellent job diagnosing, and explaining things to me I was very happy with his care. He explained things very well.
