Great place to eat AND shop! YP.com This is one of my favorite places to eat. The servers are friendly and generally keep drink orders full. If an order gets messed up, the servers will take care of it. Of all our travels, we have found the Newport News Cracker Barrel to be the best - friendly and helpful servers as well as having good food. The people in the store section are willing to go out of their way to find merchandise....
We went around 330 on a Friday evening. Restaurant was pretty empty but service was terrible, waitress was chatting with friends and ignored us. Food was not good - veggie plate - carrots were soggy, fried okra wasn't fried long enough. Second bad trip to this site and no improvements.
