Cracker Barrel 08-19-24 Had lunch with a couple of my Grandsons Here. Friendly staff and nice dining area. We tried the Biscuit Beignets. They are more of a Fried Biscuit. Very good but not a Beignet! We had 1 GRANDMA'S SAMPLER PANCAKE BREAKFAST Two Pancakes, two eggs and a sampling of Bacon, Sausage and Ham. With a side of Hash Browns and Pure Natural Syrup. Great service from Alma! The food was pretty good. There was a wait.. but i imagine it was to be expected with how busy it was. Good atmosphere, good vibes. My only complaint is the table we were seated at, it was wobbly and definitely annoying! Other than that, it was great!
We ordered family size sides for our Christmas meal. The $40 worth of dressing/stuffing was not edible. It was just the dry ingredients, no broth/liquid was mixed in. It was very disappointing. I can’t load the video I took showing it crumbling in my fingers.
Service was outstanding. It’s always nice for the server to make a little conversation when you’re dining alone. He kept the coffee cup filled and accommodated my desire to have an additional coffee and my birthday reward dessert to go after my meal. Usually love their food but the gravy tasted a bit off. I’m assuming it’s because it’s a mix. I am accustomed to making gravy from scratch and there’s an huge taste difference.Otherwise, my bacon was cooked to perfection and I enjoyed my meal.
We love to go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, and it is usually so good. However, this trip was different. We ordered the Biscuit Beignets for an appetizer. They came to our table , and it was obvious that they had been cooked too long. They were burnt. We sent them back. My husband ordered his meal with a side of hashbrown casserole.
