Had brunch here today and as always the experience was nice. Hubs had the fried chicken and eggs and I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The star of the show was definitely his fried chicken. I could have closed my eyes, taste that chicken and would have thought I was at a soul food restaurant. A must try! Also, I did not know CB served beer and wine. I enjoyed the peach mimosa during my meal and it was lovely. Service was spectacular as always, and we look forward to coming back soon!
Went to a late lunch on Friday. The server Beth was great. She refilled our drinks and took our order promptly. I had the grilled chicken tenders and my husband had the creole shrimp skillet. Both were delicious. I have always had great service at this location, and the retail area has a lot of new items for spring.
I recently had a disappointing experience at Cracker Barrel that left me frustrated. I called ahead to order food for pick-up, and when I arrived early at 6:50, I was pleased to find my order ready. However, the excitement quickly faded when the staff informed me they were out of gravy and sausages—without even asking if I wanted a substitute. Good service. Cracker Barrel is usually a safe bet if you want a lot of good quality food. Sides are the best part but always not enough. Service is usually great too by the waiters. Lots of different options to order. If you're not a breakfast person you can simply get steak.
I ordered food that was supposed to be ready quickly. I’m was the rainbow trout. Very dry. My husband order meatloaf and it too was dry and supposed to be ready quickly. My advice is don’t order food that says it will be ready quickly. It must be ready and just sitting in a warmer or under warming lights.
