It was my first time visiting a Cracker Barrel store. I was surprised that it wasn't only a restaurant. There was quite a selection of items in the store. After browsing and picking up a couple of souvenirs, I went into the dining area. I liked the music and it was very clean. The service was quick and friendly. Food was fresh and delicious. I took advantage of a great deal to buy an extra dish to go. Overall, great place for a meal with family or friends.
We waited 30 minutes to be seated and about 45 minutes for our food. His meal was Meatloaf, which was bland and mushy, coleslaw tasted old. The only good thing was the green beans. He ordered Coke Zero, and they brought Cherry coke. The drinks appeared to be premade, and the ice was all melted. My order Pancakes, they tasted like they were grilled in dirty grease. I am deeply disappointed with my recent visit to Cracker Barrel. Initially, I was told there would be an hour wait, which I accepted and waited patiently with my daughter. However, what happened next was unacceptable. I witnessed a white woman and her son arrive at the restaurant well after me. They were seated immediately, and by the time I was called in 30 minutes later they were already eating. This blatant preferential treatment felt discriminatory and completely unfair. Was an attempted guest of this location but I will never return. . We were immediately seated by the host as the restaurant was nearly empty. We sat and waited for a server but not a single server came to our table for an extended time. I personally watched and made eye contact with 3 different servers who neither greeted the table or obviously alerted the server assigned to our section that there was a table waiting. A great spot for brunch or lunch with family, colleagues, or friends. I absolutely loved the Fried Pork! The atmosphere is pleasant, though the service could be better. Definitely a must-stop if you're traveling from Houston to Pearland.
