We visited at 6:30 PM two days before Christmas. The restaurant was not crowded and we were seated immediately and had the most fun, helpful, friendly server named Pam. We had meatloaf and chicken and dumplings and country fried steak and biscuits and everything was delicious. We probably weren't prepared for the long wait as the kitchen was really slow. The breakfast items are always good. I like this store. The employees are nice and the store is organized.
The Cracker Barrel at the Collinade was by far the best Cracker Barrel I have been to in a while. The server there, Ms. Pam, went above and beyond for us. She served us our food, made sure our needs were met and even had a lovely conversation with us. She was so personable and kind and really showed that she cared. I haven’t had a server quite like here in a bit. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The food was cooked well too and our order arrived quickly. I will definitely be going back
One star for the food might be too high for this trip. Biscuits were fresh but had black grease grime on bottom of them. Next was the scrambled eggs that had foreign food crumbs cooked in them. Not sure but looked like chicken coating pieces. Ham sliced grilled on the flat top that was horribly dirty. Tasted like a hamburger with iron flecks on it and all. Gravy bowl was the skin and slime like chunks. Even the apples had crunchy spots in them. Poor waitress tried and was told the managers were ALL in a meeting. Shame
The restaurant was mostly empty. We stood at the host stand for several minutes before anyone knew we were there. To be fair, it was about 8:30p on Black Friday. Ben was our server. He was pleasant enough but not a very warm person. No shade on him, he provided good service and made sure we had our drinks refilled.
