This is the second time in a row that things were missing from my order. I guess tarter sauce is in high demand. I asked for extra and got 1 little serving. I was also missing my pinto beans. I will not trust the delivery process anymore.
This is the second time I've ordered from Cracker Barrel and the food seems to be leftovers. It had to be sitting out for quite some time if not leftovers. Do not get the chicken noodle soup! No carrots, one piece of celery. No soup. Just dumplins cut up in small pieces. Very small portion and more expensive than the other sides. I don't think Cracker Barrel is cooking anything fresh anymore. Even the mashed potatoes were hard as a rock. Nothing fresh or good. I won't be eating that food. Complete waste of $25.
The food is always great, but the past two times I've ordered, they've forgotten my syrup.
No syrup or silverware. Portion of the Loaded Hashbrown Casserole was tiny compared to what they serve in restaurant. Eggs from Momma's Pancake Breakfast® were runny.
The chicken and dumplings were so salty i needed three glasses of water to get thru them. And then the BISCUITS...you know when you get a hankering for a really good biscuit? I had that today. CB's have always been great--like Ms Brenda is back in the kitchen baking them up fresh. Well, apparently they have replaced Ms Brenda with those refrigerated biscuits you thwack on the counter to open. And not the good Pillsbury ones...no these are the ones that aren't even good enough to be store brand!
They left out my fried apples and stingy on the brown gravy again.
They did not have catfish and took an excessive amount of time to notify me.
One of the sides, fried okra, had 13 pieces. Hard to find the chicken in the chicken and dumplings. Very disappointing
The chicken was so crunchy and hard to eat. Usually it is better than this. I had a pile of pieces I couldn't eat. It was like jerky and the "breast" was so small. Tasted like it was overdone. I miss the old way they did it. Everything else was okay but they were very chincy on the okra. 3 stars today. Whoever packed it thought of everything. Plenty of sauces and jelly's. I would order it again and hope for a different fry cook.
