I loved it!! The bun was great, chicken was nicely seasoned loved their signature sauce the pickles and slaw definitely added to the flavor-I got mine with cheese. The chicken was super tender and juicy-not oily either. So I had been wanting to try them ever since they opened up in Toronto and I'm glad I did. So here's the deal when you eat their food you can instantly tell it's a franchise quality you can't compare it to a place like Chen Chen. Got take out with 2 friends since we happened to walk by. We all came to the same consensus that it was GOOD, but a bit too salty. I liked the flavour/seasoning but it wasn't my favourite. I also thought that the price for 1 tender was a bit much ... But I wasn't expecting it to come with bread, pickles, and sauce which definitely made it more worth it! I think the single tender is a good snack, definitely better than grabbing a snack at McDonald's for the same price. Also their tender + sandwich combo is a great deal! ... read more

The chicken is awesome. Seasoned really well, super juicy. The price is a little too much for what you're getting in my opinion but that being said the quality of chicken was great. We got a combo #3 which is 1 tender, 1 slider, and fries. We added another tender. Drinks aren't included in the combos. Fries were okay. I definitely recommend eating it as soon as you get it because the colder the food is the less enjoyable it is. The spice level was enjoyable. Location: Does Dave know they are located ACROSS the street from a food bank? I live right near there, so the first day they opened was ironic. Yes, massive lineup for $20 pieces of chicken at the SAME time that there was a lineup on the other side of the street of people who need to get handouts from the food bank!! Did the socialite/owner think about that? As other people stated, I hate their non-recyclable packaging. When walking to Dave's, it was littered all over the street. Updated Review Since I had a meh experience the first time with Dave's Hot Chicken, I was invited back to try them again. This time there wasn't a massive uncoordinated lineup wrapping around the building which was nice Had the sliders combo, with 2 sliders, fries, kale slaw, pickles, and Dave's sauce.
