Upon arrival, the line was out the door while it was 9:00 PM on a weekday. Was it worth the wait? Only if you order their food online, because they were (maybe) understaffed with an immense amount of orders. They were apologetic to everyone that received their order, which I don't blame them at all. Dave's is always hyped/recommended. There's your standard chicken shop, and then there's Dave's Hot Chicken. It's completely on another level in quality, customer service and the customer experience! The chicken is delicious, cooked perfectly with the right amount of juiciness and crunch. I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend.
My son told me about this place. I had just had a doctors appointment in Santee. I went in and I had the best experience. It was all halal. And they had enough time to explain the spice levels. I I personally do not enjoy spice. But the workers were very courteous and helped me choose a spice level. I went with light mild and it was not that spicy. It was seasoned perfectly and wasn't dry. Keep in mind it's not your traditional chicken joint, but these delicious chicken sandwiches and fries are mind blowing! I highly recommend this place.
Super fire Dave's hot chicken always hits the spot, I always get the "Hot" one of each plate and it never disappoints! The chicken is so moist and the fries are always nicely seasoned and crispy. I recommend if dining out to order ahead just to avoid the line, I've never ate at the location but the service is still pretty solid. If you like chicken you'll definitely like Dave's
Dave's Hot Chicken is delicious! Came back last Thursday after a Padres game. Went with the 2 sandwich combo, medium heat. Medium is just enough heat to tingle your lips, but not hot enough to burn your mouth. The 2 sandwich combo is the way to go! The crunch on the batter is out of this world. I was wonderfully surprised at how delicious my chicken slider was :p . Good customer service , clean restaurant , yummy affordable food. Can't beat it with a stick!
