For starters I'm vegetarian so this goes to all the vegetarians that miss chicken like i do. The cauliflower chicken sandwich is so delicious I felt guilty eating it. Felt like i was cheating with chicken. The BITES are so delicious too. Yummy juicy they've got the formula for yumminess Cheekn. Service is great, place is ample and spotless. My daughters and rest of the family love and rave about the chicken almost daily. It's deliciously spiced. It's all yummy and cool. Just go.
Everyone has been hyping up Dave's hot chicken, and I was not disappointed. You have the option of ordering tenders or sliders and both are great options. The chicken was fried perfectly with a crisp outside and juicy inside. You can choose from varying spice levels - I went with medium which had a slight kick but think I can go higher next time. The food is phenomenal. The spice perfectly compliments the flavors. If you are in SoCal, Dave's Hot Chicken is a must have. By far my favorite chicken place in California.
It was my first time trying Dave's. The chicken was full of flavor and big chunks of meat. I would have ordered a little spicy since I just ordered mild. The fries were good also. The bread on the sliders tastes like the Hawaiian bread. I could recommend trying this place to people who don't really like fast food. This place is popular and now I know why.
The hot chicken here is honestly nothing special. The chicken itself was juicy, but the spice coating was kind of dry, and sort of fine sandpaper-like in texture. I had medium - the spice level was about right, but the flavor and texture of the spices were just not pleasant. They have their sauce, but I am not a mayo fan so I passed on that. Stopped by on my way back from an outing. I originally heard of this place since they just opened a location in my home city, and was intrigued as they have investors such as Samuel L. Jackson and Drake. I'm also a fan of spicy foods, so it just made sense. This location is new and it shows. Food was mediocre, the fries tasted and felt stale! The girl who helped us was very nice but for a restaurant that was not that busy it took a long time to get our food! Friendly place overall.
