One of the best chicken joints around, but fair warning; keep in mind wait times can be VERY long around lunchtime and ESPECIALLY on weekends. I've had to wait as long as 40 minutes once. Literally like every time I go, there's an entire hoard of high school boys crowding around the store both inside and out at ALL times for some reason, so you might need to fight your way in if it gets that crowded, but the food is worth it.

I expected the wait to be very long initially as there was a but of a crowd inside but my food came out in a timely manner! Shoutout to the lady in the front for the free drink!

The chicken sliders are to die for!! This Dave's location never disappoints. It can get super busy here so try to get in early or after the rush. Service is still pretty fast even if it's busy which is a huge plus. Their employees are friendly and have really good customer facing skills which I can't say for a lot of other food vendors. Highly recommend checking out this Dave's in Mira Mesa!

Came to Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time today. I waited about 15 mins to get my order, & it wasn't very busy. But wow. I quickly figured out that this stuff is freshly made to order. AND it's REALLY good!!! I was so pleasantly surprised! I really like the simple menu too. Very nice people working here as well. Get some!
