TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Been here multiple times now to get a single tender and their chicken never disappoints! I have to say that their customer service is always consistently good. I do recommend that you order ahead because the wait can be long depending on how crowded it is. Single tender extra hot (5/5): costs around $5. Comes with a slice of bread and some pickles! Soo good ! This was my first time my daughter and I tried Dave's Hot Chicken and we were not disappointed. When we arrived it was a few people inside but not crowded. There's the option of ordering with the staff or ordering on the kiosk which was pretty cool to see. There's even an area for online orders. The space seemed clean and primarily for Carryout although there were a few tables for those looking to dine in. There's a list of different spice levels depending on how "hot" you want your chicken. Despite the long wait time (there was a lot of customers), the chicken was nice and crispy. It wasn't too salty. There is also an option for no spice if spicy foods isn't your thing.
