Read mixed reviews of this place, but after trying it, I can confirm they make a quality chicken tender. I got combo #3 which is definitely pricey for a lunch, but it was excellent. I got heat level 'Hot' which has some kick but doesn't ruin the meal. The fries were great, crispy outside & soft inside. The sauce was good but fairly typical. I got two combo #3’s which has 1 tender & 1 slider with fries. One medium hot and one with no spice. The combos came with no drink which is upsetting because the combos were 22$ before tax. Food was fresh and crispy. I paid 49.66 after tax for the 2 combos and 1 drink. I found the restaurant was way too cold , I was freezing while eating. Overall I would say it is a great fried chicken spot but a tad over priced.

We ordered two combos (one with two “sliders” and one with two tenders) as well as a strawberry milkshake, to go The good: the fries are amazing. They are perfectly crispy, crinkle cut fries and I’d happily go back to Dave’s just for these fries. The combo also comes with some very good crinkle cut pickles. This is a huge, 2 floor restaurant, with a VERY LIMITED menu. All they have are fries, small chicken sandwiches (sliders.... basically a chicken finger on a bun) and you can order that chicken piece on its own. They have small portions of kale slaw, and macaroni.... and that's it. Nothing else on the menu. What sucks ? I've had the opportunity to try Dave's hot chicken in Colorado, so when I saw it during my walk home, going in was a no brainer. Inside the leslieville location, I found that same hip vibe I remember from my first visit, but Toronto flavoured 🍁❣️ Greeted by friendly faces ready to make recommendations, I was expecting a solid food bite.
