TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I got the number 3 Dave’s slider with tender. The food came out quickly and also hot! I got medium heat and it was the perfect amount of spice. The staff was efficient and kind and the atmosphere was clean and pleasant. Will reccomened and come again!
I got two combo #3’s which has 1 tender & 1 slider with fries. One medium hot and one with no spice. The combos came with no drink which is upsetting because the combos were 22$ before tax. Food was fresh and crispy. I paid 49.66 after tax for the 2 combos and 1 drink. I found the restaurant was way too cold , I was freezing while eating. Overall I would say it is a great fried chicken spot but a tad over priced.
Read mixed reviews of this place, but after trying it, I can confirm they make a quality chicken tender. I got combo #3 which is definitely pricey for a lunch, but it was excellent. I got heat level 'Hot' which has some kick but doesn't ruin the meal. The fries were great, crispy outside & soft inside. The sauce was good but fairly typical. I've had the opportunity to try Dave's hot chicken in Colorado, so when I saw it during my walk home, going in was a no brainer. Inside the leslieville location, I found that same hip vibe I remember from my first visit, but Toronto flavoured 🍁❣️ Greeted by friendly faces ready to make recommendations, I was expecting a solid food bite.
