TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

A new addition to the neighbourhood that replaced long mainstay Stratengers. This is the first Nashville hot chicken spot in the hood and the signage out front definitely lets you know that! We stepped into Dave's Hot Chicken as curiosity got the better of us. The inside of the resturant is bright and white with some pop tunes playing over the speakers. Meh. Nothing special. For my money the chicken sandwich at Burger's Priest is far better, especially in terms of the quality of the chicken itself. I'm not saying don't go there but it's not mind blowing.

Pretty tasty! Fast service and I must say their fries are well seasoned. I am definitely a fan. Chicken slider was good. I do wonder though... How come one sandwich had one tender and the other had two? Was a bit put off but it was fine as I still enjoyed the sandwich. Mine was just smaller than the other. Nashville Checked is delicious! I was excited when this LA establishment arrived in Toronto. We got take out. This place was fine. It wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad either. I would go back, but would I call it the best Nashville Hot Chicken I have ever had? Not really. Good place to eat, I just wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Second time at this venue thanks to its amazing customer service. We ordered their reaper hot level- combo #2 and I thought it was amazing! My bf thought it was a little too spicy and something in between extra spicy and reaper would have been ideal for the second highest level of spice. There wasn't much people dining in, but they had a lot of pick up orders. I would highly recommend ordering in person as it's much cheaper than ordering through third party apps.
